Paul Douglas Callister

Paul Callister is the Director of the Leon E. Bloch Law Library at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, a position he has held for over two decades. He also serves as a Professor of Law, currently teaching Copyright Law, Developing Legal Research Skills, and Artificial Intelligence and the Law. Paul holds a B.A. from Brigham Young University, a J.D. from Cornell Law School, and an M.S.L.I.S. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His academic contributions have been recognized with the 2021 UMKC Law Marvin Lewis Rich Award for legal scholarship and teaching over the past three years, and he is a two-time recipient of the UMKC Law Brenner Award for legal scholarship. He has an article, Generative AI and Finding the Law, which is accepted for publication in Law Library Journal in 2025.
